On the Way to Australia

Every news hits suddenly, guess thats why it is a news.
So i got this news from my Manager, I will be going to Brisbane,Australia for an assignment. I replied I am ready and willing(more than willing) to go. But then there was a hurdle, a BIG one!!!! I did not had my passport.
Now anyone dwelling in India knows that this piece of thing is very important and too hard to obtain. So i started my uphill climb. Regional Passport Office-> Commissioner's Office -> Bangalore One -> Police Station constituted my cycle for a few days. I was addressing everyone in these offices as "sir" or "madam". What a pathetic situation. Everyone was hell bend upon giving me advise("You should had done this before","You don't belong to Karnataka, so you do this .....that....blah...blah.....","I am here to do my job and not to help you") and none to give a real positive direction. At last i got the ball rolling and with a little bit of patience(unlike my traits) i got it. The illusion called "PASSPORT" came to my hand. Rithesh, guess would see the relief, joy and happiness in my face.
Now began another chapter called "DELAY"
Its common in MNCs that your trip gets postponed to some other date. But that gives no relief to someone who will be traveling outside the country for the first time. I was consoling myself and those concerned that the trip is round the corner. But deep within was anxious....too anxious.
I had started to do a bit of shopping for the trip. The start was with a brand new mobile handset. After much research the choice came down to Sony-Ericsson w850i (now thats not a bit of shopping), featuring the walkman and 2MP camera. Well my most priced possession till date.
